Fall In Love Joy Clair Event – Falling Leaves & Thankful and Blessed Stamp Sets

Hello Friends!  I am excited this morning to share with you my Bible Journaling page for Joy Clair’s new Fall themed stamps, Falling Leaves and Thankful and Blessed.  I love the season of Fall and I just fell in love with these stamp sets.  I chose a favorite passage of mine and also one that is featured on the Thankful and Blessed Stamp set – Psalm 107:1 – “Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His faithful love endures forever.” (HCSB Version)

I started by creating a background with the Falling Leaves Stamp Set.  I stamped it 1.5 times across the bottom of the page.  I like the look of having the leaves fall into a pile so I stamped it upside down!  I put washi tape down on the verse before I stamped to make sure that a leaf did not cover the Scripture – then simply took off the washi when I was done stamping.

I used some highlighter washi that is see through to accent the verse and began watercoloring the entire page with Neocolor II Watercolor Crayons.  I chose a fall themed color spectrum of browns, tans, reds, oranges and yellows.  I left the leaves white.

I stamped the sunflower from the Thankful and Blessed Set onto white watercolor paper and cut out 5 of them after watercoloring them from the same color palette.  I wanted them for a border on the top of my page, so I cut off the stems.

I used 3 of the text stamps from the Thankful and Blessed set to finish off the page.  I added a text sticker and a puffy cross sticker to finish the page.  As always I also date stamped the page with my large date stamp!
